Quite true, sometimes the letters are too close and you are not sure whether it is a capital letter or small letter or whether it is a letter or a numeral. In that case I refresh to get a simpler one.
On the other hand, it trains our eyesight and patience .... I think so lah.

Yes! Seriously i think they should change it to number verification.
