New Camera!

I bought a new camera finally! I have been wanting to buy a new camera for some time but I was waiting for money to fall from the sky.
Well, money didn't fall from the sky, so I used my salary to buy it.
And here it is!

Cute right??? pink and cute.. So I took a few shots to test today.. first I took this.

Nice colour....Inside of a ring which YX gave me. It's a Georg Jensen ring.... not an ordinary one and it wraps around my finger perfectly.

The inside of another ring which YX gave me... nice?

GCB again

As I spent alot of time at GCB these few days, I basically got nothing to blog except GCB and some random photos which I took.

YX acting as a killer. I kind of like this costume. Simple and nice.. Can't imagine him wearing dua ban. He will look super super weird.

YX and Du.. Why must always draw this kind of funny marks on his face. I asked him. He just like to disfigure himself by draw scars on his face. Does that make him look fiercer? He dun need to draw scars also look very fierce lor.

Skinny Du.

The vbery fat me, look so ugly.. and some more no make up. I sucks lor. I think I better go and die.
Our photo again. Taken yesterday I think. YX was very bored at backstage that he tried balancing several things on his nose bridge. So far I have seen him balancing an unbrella (the long kind), a clothes hanger and a CHAIR. He put a chair on his nose lor can you imagine. I forgot to take photos.. too bad. He showed my mum today this trick and my mum was very happy.

Acting cute! Taken today.

So sad lor, tomorrow he is leaving le but never mind, I can finally go taiwan tour on this Friday. Looking forward to go there lor. :)

Du very bored, he displayed some 'qiang hua' using 2 umbrellas. Btw, this umbrella is the one yx put on his nose.

Du is very happy to go back to TW cuz he missed his wife and his unborn baby. He tot that the days in SG passed so slowly. YX on the other hand find that this 14 days passed too fast. I think my mum is rather sad that they are leaving though she did not say it. Can tell from her face lor. It's been a long time since she last had a company like that. But she is also very happy to visit Taiwan, to see YX and his mum and to see Du and his wife.

We will be going to watch MHY show on 26 May lor.. Cuz YX performing on that day.. so can go see ... for free and we very heng cuz its the gong yan troupe. YX told me to go see cuz Sun Cui Feng looks good in person.

Oh well.. we will see about that.

Misc Stuff

I got lots of things to blog and I don't know what to name it so it will be Misc Stuff that happened in the past few days.

Right. I think May is interested cuz she has gone to TW for 4 days.. and she needs some updates.

Ok, I will blog according to the photos I have as too many things happened and I can't blog them one by one.

Du was acting as a wolf. This photo was taken on the 3rd day when they were here. Time flies. Left only 2 days and they will be going back to TW. Kinda sad lor. They have been a good company for my mum. My mum used to be so bored along at home in the afternoon but now she got these 2 big babies to company her.

Du said that every afternoon 12pm, he will be woken up by my mum's singing. She will sing ktv sometimes or she will just sing by herself. Du will then come down and sing KTV with her. There was once they came back after ban xian just to sing ktv.. then go back to temple for the night show.

Then he put on the weird hood which made him look more like a wolf.

YX as the tiger spirit. If you think this is ugly, look at this:

Super ugly!!! Hahaha... my god.. I faint...
Eeeeek.. With the costume now.. Look like mamasan. Silly YX, his skirt dropped when he was on stage. So he tugged his skirt and quickly tuck it back.. aiyoh... so 'diu lian'.

Every morning, YX sent me to work and when we reached my workplace early, we will have breakfast at Wang Jiao kaya toast. I think he is starting to get sick with eating all those half boiled eggs.

One of the afternoons, I think it was last Saturday, I went to see their rehearsal. They were rehearsing a particular show which is their 'zhao pai' show. XFX was very serious in making this show good and YX told me that this show is actually not bad. Can watch. Too bad that day I have got rehearsal so I can't go. So sad. XFX as I said before was very serious when rehearsing.

YX as the eel spirit. So super ugly. Everyday also make up until so ugly lor and he always want to do the bad guy or maybe he looks like a bad guy. Hahaha.. Gangster face. He told me that he has to eat fire that day so he tested it out.

Successfully 'eaten' the fire.

Know who is this? Super ugly right???? This is Du lor, wearing this super ugly mask. He is also eating 'fire'.. or maybe.. sucking fire?

Later, YX said that he want to use this mask cuz this mask has got a hole at the mouth area. He will need it for eating and spitting fire. So Du gave this mask to YX to try out.

Eating fire with the mask. Successfully but dangerous lor. He might burn the mask or wat. So in the end, he did not use the mask for fire eating.. but he burnt his hair in the process.. haha stupid or wat.
Ban xian.. Last Friday went to see them ban xian. Some of them were hum but some of them were rather serious. Overall their ba xian is better than SG one. SG one is very hum lor, just anyhow do. Or maybe becuz the SG troupe do not have any audience during Ban xian so they heck care. XFX's ban xian still got a certain number of audience so they got more 'power' to do it well.

I still have alot of photos to upload but I am very tired now. Already almost 1am. They haven't come back so I am going to sleep le. They will be going back to GCB on the last night cuz they have to leave together on the next morning to the airport. YX says, happy days flies.. yap..

Stupid Rehearsal

Two guys went to eat dinner with Koh Soh Hoon, so I now got time to blog. Hahaha... Wondering why Koh Soh Hoon is here right? She is here to sign contract with GCB.

So now, I got some free time to do whatever i want.

Today I did not go to GCB. I went to COI for rehearsal. Rehearse for the Real and Fake doctor. The stupid Chua kp that we did not memorise our script well enough. Well. who is to blame?? He bloody gave us the script so late and we simply do not have enough time to memorise. He only know how to talk rubbish and nonsense. What.. Comedies must be fast paced.. must speak faster.. must got feel..

Yah right..

How to have feel when I dun even remember his stupid lines. He edited the script again and again.. and everytime he edited the script, we have to memorise some new stuff. He think what? We are professionals who do nothing everyday and sit around at home to memorise his script? Please lor.. I will do that if he pays me.

Unfortuanately, a miser like him won't pay me.

Haiz.. Then Ang very stress cuz chua want us to rehearse without the script tonight. How to do?? can't be done lor. He say that the people who invited us to perform will lose confidence in us if he sees us rehearsing with script.

Stupid idiot right? He so damn bloody smart he memorise la.. Some more the scenes all only got like 3-4 actors. Each person got their fair share of lines.

Well, if the people who came to see us are disappointed with out performance, I can't be bothered. Seriously, if they does not want us to perform, it's totally fine. Don't give a damn. We are also very disappointed with COI, not to mention those 'customers'.

Kopi

This morning, YX sent me to work as usual. He has been sending my to work everyday since he came to sg. It was raining like hell in the morning but we reached my workplace early so we went to Wang Jiao to eat toasted bread.

I ordered the bread and we sat down to eat the half cooked eggs. He said that TW don't sell this kind of half boiled eggs.

Suddenly alot of ppl came in to buy their morning coffee and the cashier started a series of hot drinks names which set xiao hua lian off laughing out loud.

First we heard.. 咖啡厚, which we always say "kopi gao".

He asked me,"what is gao?"

I said,"You don't know gao? It's hokkien."

He replied,"huh? gao???" (question marks on his head)

I said,"gao is thick la."

YX:"oh... you mean gao (in a higher tone)"
Me:"Gao gao gao (in different tones).. they are all the same lor.. "

YX: -_-"

He started listening attentively to what the cashier was calling. Suddenly he heard 'kopi si kosong'.

YX: What is kosong?

Me: Means no sugar. Malay language.

Then he heard kopi kosong gao da bao. In this case: da = large, bao = take away.

He said,"What is gao da bao??? why must gao da then bao??"

hahaha...

He heard it as 搞大包.

Stupid lor. I said that means kopi no sugar thick take away la....

Aiyoh..

He started off luffing out loud and said 一定要把咖啡搞大吗?? Gao da kopi already then still must bao it. kopi got no tummy lor.

Mad or what.. aiyoh... got so funny mah.. must laugh until stomachache.

Please look at this picture:

He asked me,"一定要那么多语言一起讲吗? 不能统一语言讲吗?"

Hahaha.. so funny sia.. I told him that you must know all these terms to order drinks properly. How to use one language for all these terms??

He said,"咖啡黑无糖打包"

That does not sounds nice lor, I told him.

My gosh. Next time must bring him to kopitiam. Got more exciting drinks terms for him to laugh at.

PS: YX is starting to behave like May. He was telling me what to blog and how to blog just now. Aiyoh..

13.05.07

I dunno what title to give to this blog entry so I will simply put it as 13.05.07, which is yesterday's date.

Yesterday morning, I woke up at 9.30am.. very groggy.. I went to the other room and kicked YX to wake him up. He was also half dead but he has to wake up cuz they got rehearsal at 11am. After that I told YX to kicked Du to wake him up also but Du was really dead. He didn't have any good sleep at GCB and after like 6 days of torment in GCB, he finally got to sleep so soundly... in peace. So he requested to sleep more.

According to Du, the ppl sharing the room as him in GCB smoke every night and gamble until 4am. He said he will suffocate and die in the room if he continue to stay there. As a very kind person, I not only 'shou liu' YX, I 'shou liu' Du also, so now the 2 of them are staying at my home. Poor me, I have to shift out of my room and let them sleep together.. I think if both of them snore together, they can form an orchestra.

So yesterday, Du continued to sleep while YX started playing with my PS2.. Finally Du woke up at around 10am and I brought them to eat roti prata as promised. YX like roti prata lor, the other time he came, he ate roti prata everyday.

And surprisingly, Du say he want to drink Teh tarik. Not bad.. still know what is teh tarik.

They were slowly eating and I saw that the time was already 10:35. I told them: Oei... late le leh.. u all rehearsing at 11am right???

YX: It's ok one.. I think we reach there 11:30am also no problem.

So we slowly swanter to GCB.. reached there at 11:15am. XFX was already practicing while the rest of the troupe were still sleeping. I can see that XFX is a very hardworking person. I kind of like her atittude actually.

She apologised to YX and Du.. told them that she is very sorry that yx and du have to now wait for the troupe to wake up when it should be the other way round.. the rest of the troupe should get ready on the stage and wait for du and yx.

She told yx that next day, she will make sure everybody is here then she will call up du and yx.

So polite right?

So we fooled around and talk abit before the rehearsal. Somebody was playing a Nanyin CD.. surprisingly. So nice. So long never listen to Nanyin.

During the rehearsal, XFX was practicing very hard with yx and du, asking them for pointers on how to improve her shen duan and do better poses etc... Very serious and attentive.. Du said she is the most hardworking one. As I can see.. the rest of the troupe very nua.. they kind of slack lor. just anyhow do whatever du and yx taught them. Think du and yx were very xian to teach them.

The rehearsal lasted about 1 hour plus.. YX asked me where am I going to bring them. It was already 12pm and they gotta come back at 2pm to ban xian. so I told them go paya lebar. They themselves said they wanna go city plaza. So we went there.. walked abit and Du bought his calling card.

We went to KFC for drinks then Du said that he wanna bring his wife to come SG for tour and then they wanna go m'sia or indonesia resort. I told them they have to get visa in TW first. Then he asked me and yx to go with them.. I tot wah seh.. so nice.. then he say.. "So that you can be our translator..." -_-"

After that I brought them to take bus.. but at the wrong direction. I very confused mah.. Paya lebar is a one way street lor. I tot that the bus can bring us back to GCB but it was actually the wrong direction. oops..

So we got off and took the bus at the opposite side.

I wanna watch them ban xian cuz yx say he want to spit fire.. I want to see fire spitting.. but then I got COI.. sian right.. haiz.. so bo bian lor. I left for COI.

COI practice was as usual.. but I was interrupted by the TV when I was rehearsing my part. They were watching the repeat for the Charity show. That reminded me that I haven't blog about it! My god.. so many things to blog.

Ok.. Then we proceeded on with our usual practice.. and Ang got no mood to rehearse.. so we ended rather early. At around 6pm... I went to da bao dinner for me and my mum then we went to GCB together. We ate dinner there.. and hang around abit. My mum watched the show abit and left.

After typing so much. I will put up a pic la.

YX was doing this white tiger spirit, a baddie again.

Me: You always do baddie lor. cuz u got ah beng face.

YX: I dun have ah beng face.

Me: You have lor, you look like baddie. Stare at me fiercely leh...

YX stares..

Me: Chao ah beng lor... You look like gangster.

On the other hand, Du did a goodie tiger spirit. Maybe Du got goodie face. YX made me put the above picture as wallpaper in my hp but I refused. So ugly I told him. Look like ghost.

Yday Du and YX very siong. They fought alot together. First, a fist match then with weapons, spear and Da Dao.

Some more they are fighting with each other so they did it much faster and with more movements than when they fought with the other members.

After the whole thing, Du and YX were panting like mad and they drenched their costumes.

Well, an uncle wanted to bring us to eat durian after the show but so suay.. they were talking to XFX and XLN suddenly said.. "Why not u all go and rehearse the (whatever the name of the show) scene now. I dun think u all got time tomorrow. Just go over it now abit lor."

YX: This scene will take some time to rehearse.

XLN: Just roughly go over it la.

Du: (under his breath) so suay leh..

Bobian.. they rehearsed the dunno what scene for about 30 minutes.. and it was almost 12am when we left GCB. We still went to eat durian tho.

Du and YX love durians and finally I found someone who likes sweet durians like me! And that is Du! All the while ppl tell me.. Nobody like to eat sweet durians lor but I just like sweet durians mah.. cannot meh...

So the uncle bought alot of durians which we can't finished. We da bao the unfinished durians to bring home for my father.

My father bought supper for the 2 guys.. my god.. they are going to gain alot of weight lor.

We slept very late last night la.. after we talked abit, watched abit of opera, already 2am! God.. Deat beat.. 2 guys very good life.. still sleeping at home when I left for work.

So Sorry

Yday kana from XJ say I so long no blog. Haiz.. I very busy lor. really. Everyday go to GCB, then reach home close to 12am.. after that watch a bit of TV then sleep le. Don't really have time for blogging. Yday wanted to blog but then I had a stupid argument with YX again so I didn't blog.

Actually I got alot of things to blog. I took some pictures from the Charity Show which are rather funny and got some crappy stuff to talk about it too. I'd better blog that fast before I forgot everything that happened on that day.

I also took some photos of YX and his friend, Xiao Du. Very ugly photos but they are all still in my HP.

Got one good news tho. May's blog is going to be opened soon!! Very qi dai right???? What brillant words has May got to say? We are all looking forward to it.

Oh yah, think this sunday got repeat of Charity Show. My god. Several colleagues spotted me on TV waving like mad. I tot no one will see me and I was quietly gloating over it. Haiz.. no image lor but no choice. I mentioned that I wont scream or do anything silly right..? But I can't help it. Ang gave us posters to hang and the whole troupe was screaming. I will look stupid to sit there quietly lor. Hahaha.. aiyoh.. more details of it when I got time to blog.

Tonight going steamboating with May they all. Shall continue to take photos!

Forced Abortion

Saw this news on the newspaper about forced abortion in China. Horrible lor! In some provinces, they forced the women to take abortion injection which will kill the baby even if they are to be dued soon. Even at 9 months! After taking the injection, the baby will die in the womb and the women will give birth to this dead babies. After that they just throw the babies away in plastic bags. my god.. So cruel right..

Here's the article:

During the past week, dozens of women in southwest China have been forced to have abortions even as late as nine months into the pregnancy, according to evidence uncovered by NPR.

China's strict family planning laws permit urban married couples to have only one child each, but in some of the recent cases — in Guangxi Province — women say they were forced to abort what would have been their first child because they were unmarried. The forced abortions are all the more shocking because family planning laws have generally been relaxed in China, with many families having two children.

Liang Yage and his wife Wei Linrong had one child and believed that — like many other couples — they could pay a fine and keep their second baby. Wei was 7 months pregnant when 10 family planning officials visited her at home on April 16.

Liang describes how they told her that she would have to have an abortion, "You don't have any more room for maneuver," he says they told her. "If you don't go [to the hospital], we'll carry you." The couple was then driven to Youjiang district maternity hospital in Baise city.

"I was scared," Wei told NPR. "The hospital was full of women who'd been brought in forcibly. There wasn't a single spare bed. The family planning people said forced abortions and forced sterilizations were both being carried out. We saw women being pulled in one by one."

The couple was given a consent agreement to sign. When Liang refused, family planning officials signed it for him. He and his wife are devout Christians — he is a pastor — and they don't agree with abortion.

The officials gave Wei three injections in the lower abdomen. Contractions started the next afternoon, and continued for almost 16 hours. Her child was stillborn.

"I asked the doctor if it was a boy or girl," Wei said. "The doctor said it was a boy. My friends who were beside me said the baby's body was completely black. I felt desolate, so I didn't look up to see the baby."

Medical sources say fetuses aborted in this manner would have been dead for some time, so the tissue is necrotic and thus dark in color.

"The nurses dealt with the body like it was rubbish," Wei said. "They wrapped it up in a black plastic bag and threw it in the trash."

This was also the treatment given to the stillborn baby of He Caigan. Family planning officials turned up at her house, in the countryside several hours outside Baise, before dawn on April 17 to force her to go to the hospital. This would have been her first baby — but she hadn't married the father, in contravention of family planning laws. She was already 9 months pregnant, just days away from delivery.

"They told me I'm too young, I couldn't keep the child and I should have an abortion," she said. "I'm too young to get a marriage certificate — I'm only 19 and my boyfriend's only 21."

After the forced abortion, her boyfriend left her. She said that she's still in great physical pain and that her life had been ruined.

An eyewitness, who requested anonymity for fear of the consequences, said that he counted 41 occupied beds on just one floor of the maternity hospital in Baise and that he believed none of the women he saw had come to the hospital of their own free will.

Coerced abortions such as these were not unusual after China's one-child policy was first introduced in 1980. But a law passed five years ago guarantees China's citizens a degree of choice in family planning matters. When contacted for comment, an official at China's State Commission for Population and Family Planning said she'd heard nothing about forced abortions in Guangxi and asked for more details. But in Baise, a family planning official surnamed Nong acknowledged that such behavior would violate regulations. Despite the fact that these allegations refer to events that happened just within the last week, he said an investigation had already been held.

"We were very surprised to hear of these accusations," Nong said, "but our investigation concluded some individuals who were dissatisfied with our family planning policies were fabricating stories. These facts simply don't exist. We really love and care for women here."

Official figures published by the Xinhua news agency shed some light on why a forced abortion campaign might be judged necessary. They show that the Baise government missed its family planning targets last year. The recorded birth rate was 13.61 percent, slightly higher than the goal of 13.5 percent. This is significant because the career prospects of local officials depend upon meeting these goals.

Wei Linrong and her husband Liang Yage, were incensed by their treatment, seeing it as little short of murder.

"I think their methods are too cruel," said Wei, "my heart really hurts. Such a tiny baby, it was innocent. And they killed it."

"Every time we talk about this child, we both cry," Liang added. "We can't bear talking about this child."

Liang and his wife risked further official disapproval by contacting a Christian group overseas to publicize their plight. China may once have depended on its state apparatus of control and fear to silence those who suffer human rights abuses at the hands of its officials. But China's victims are angry, and they want their voices to be heard.

Incident on a bus

A few weeks ago, I was taking a bus home, bus no. 53 if I remembered correctly. It was the rushing hour and the bus was super crowded. I stood at the end of the bus.

Then this old lady came up at the next stop. She staggered and walked slowly but nobody gave up any seat for her. At this point, the bus driver stood up and walked over to a young lady (about 20 years old) sitting on the green seat.

"Please give up your seat to the old lady."

The young woman was on the phone and she was stunned that the bus driver actually approached her but she can't possibly refuse right. so she reluctantly lifted her butt off the chair and walked towards the back of the bus. The old auntie sat down.

The woman was embarrased but then she pretended nothing has happened.

After that, another passenger sitting in front of her alighted the bus. Finally, she got a seat back! hahaha.. so funny. Then she happily sat down, still chatting on the phone.

New Look

Nothing to do.. Didn't know what to blog, I decided to change my blog's looks abit.

I can't be bothered to change the whole HTML so I used the convenient way, the Blogger's editing function. Easy, just drag and drop. heh.

This Sunday, we might get a chance to watch the charity show live at the Mediacorps Studio but I know that we will be seated far behind and we won't be able to see anything much. Actually it's better to watch at home. Sharp and clear but since most of them are going, I will tag along.

Do not worry, I don't think we will do anything like screaming our heads off,"We will always support you!"

Nor will we whistle... nor will we give flowers.. nor will we make banners and wave with light sticks.

Anyway, if you happened to be at home on 06 May, please switch on your TV to watch Yi Xin Yi De charity show.

I won't force you to donate. Just watch will do.
