Mt Faber

In case you are wondering why my blog is so lopsided here, I am telling you, I redesigned my header and everything but then I got no time recently to finish it. So I am leaving my blog as it is now for the time being. It's a bit ugly lor. The colours don't match and the picture size doesn't fit. Sigh, I will settle them when I have more time. Now I need to blog. I need to blog before I forget what I want to blog about.

It's been a really long long time since I had any 'excursions' with ponyo aka Yayi. I haven blogged about going out with her for a long long time because she was also very busy. We didn't have time to meet up. I only see her once a week in our singing lesson.

So we made a deal to climb Mt Faber on Teacher's Day. What a way to celebrate Teacher's Day with my teacher. LOL. Asking her why she chose Mt Faber, her answer was very simple. Because it is the shortest mountain in Singapore. It is not even a mountain I think. A hill probably.

The last time we went for a hike like this was on Qing Ming Festival last year. It's more than a year ago! I still remember at that time, she had this 'mushroom' hair cute. LOL. We got too deep into Macrtichie that time that in the end we called a cab in to pick us up. We were too dead to walk out of that forest.

This time, it was an easier quest.

Ponyo said that we must take photo at this very memorable moment. Well, I look like ghost in the photo lor and I dunno why she must hide behind me, making my face look so big and round. Moreover I tied all my hair up, making my face look rounder. She said that I look like I just woke up. Aiyoh.. my god. I should really photoshop this photo but then forget it la. Lazy and anyway not like seeing my 'raw' face is something new to u guys right.

A fleet of vicious stairs waiting for us to conquer it. Actually Mt Faber is really an easy climb. Just go up the stairs all the way and you will reach the top soon. Unlike the one I climbed at China. Gosh. I was so damn tired at that time.

Ponyo says that she loves this bag alot alot and so she must take a photo with it. She bought this bag at a discount but it still cost close to a hundred bucks. The funny thing is after she bought it, she left it at home for a long long time, totally forgetting it's existence until that day she saw it and brought it out to climb Mt Faber.

Finally we reached the top of Mt Faber. Took another photo to remember this moment. LOL.Our next quest was to find Henderson Waves. We took a long time to find it! We followed the signs, walked a long way, climbed a few more stairs before we finally found it. Pony kept complaining about the signboards. She said that they are not clear enough and she doesn't know which way to go. Sometimes there is a junction and there isn't any signs on the junction to tell you which way to go. I told her that both ways probably lead to the same place lor.


Finally, the Hendersons WAVES! We took another photo here to show that we have reached this place.... by foot. HAHAHAHA. And I took a same photo doing the same pose as Ponyo.

I am copy cat!

Isn't the bridge beautiful? With the clear blue sky and the cool breeze which you can't feel. We reached this Henderson Waves at about 11am after walking for about one hour. I think my HP takes wonderful pictures when the sun is bright. Look at Ponyo, walking very suspiciously.

Then we rested on this bench like thing. You can lie down on it and look at the sky. The breeze blowing at your face makes you feel like sleeping.

Ponyo said that I look as it I was being pinned down by some heavy objects.

I asked ponyo what this plant is and she told me that this is 冬天里的一把火. It sounded so silly that I told her I must take a photo of this and blog about it.

Then we made our way down Mt Faber. It was a quick trek actually. We took only like 2 plus hours . Unlike Macritchie, we took like 4 or 5 hours. It was so tiring that time.

As it was Teacher's Day that day, Ponyo told me that SL is treating the teachers for lunch and she said that I can come along. Paiseh lah, I am not a teacher in Siong Leng but I thick skin lor so I went. Hehh. I must take photo and blog about this because we had lunch at May's favourite restaurant, Coca.

Yay~ It was very nice! And we were super hungry after all that walking!

Yay, very nice lunch thanks to SL! We had a fruitful day that day. After the lunch, I went back home to rest, shower... etc. So shiok lor! Life is good when it goes like this. Hee hee.

Tomorrow I am going to Pasir Ris with Ponyo to cycle. It's going to be an early morning thing again so I got to sleep liao. If not tomorrow I will be too tired to cycle then I will lose to her.. Must sleep now!

Teacher's Day

On Teacher's Day EVE, we decided to give our teacher Ang a treat and we let her choose the place. She pin pointed that she wants to eat Sushi Tei at the Ngee Ann branch. Although there are many branches of Sushi Tei in Singapore, my teacher claims that the one in Ngee Ann is the best. The food seems fresher there to her.

So on that day, DLQ came to my place before we head to Ngee Ann together. Funny, she decided to have a bowl of mee siam before going for the dinner. She thinks that sushi does not suit her and she better fill up her stomach first before going there.

Fortunately ZY doesn't read my blog. Else she will kp her photo look very fat.

Just like what May would have done. And then YH will ask me not to blog her photos. How can I exclude YH in my blog? That is a very difficult thing to do because she appears in my life pretty often.

So yah, YH definitely will appear here one.


Must Li zuan and Zhu Ying appear to be so lovey dovey? Lizuan was very happy. She has finally passed her exams! I have no idea what paper she took but I know that it has got something to do with accounting. So many people around me are doing accounting.

Now that LZ has passed her papers, Teacher Ang will be giving her a treat. So good right? LOL.

That night, the dinner cost about $300 but fortunately, wanxin jie jie got sushi tei member card lor. We managed to get dunno 10% or 15% off the bill. Thank god sia. If not it's very siong lor. I asked teacher if she is in a good mood and she said yes. LOL, there was once I asked her this question and she said no... My god. When she says no, we all better siam far far. Dun get into her way and then kana by her lor.

Bartender

Recently as you all know, we are all in a party mood. Everytime after performance or when we are free, we will think about partying. The last time we had a party at Ang's home was on 8 and 9 Aug, National Day. I made a suggestion to go her home to drink wine on 8 Aug and then sleepover there and continue the party on 9 August. It will be like a 2 day 1 night chalet and Ang's home. LOL So fun right.

So that night, I went to Ang's home and many people were there but not many people stayed overnight. Only me, YH, BH, QY and LZ. We made a good plan right? But that Chua just had to mess up our plan by asking Ang to bring her students in for photo taking on 9 Aug. Wah lau. Damn sian!!! Nonetheless, we still stayed up till 3am at Ang's house and sleepover.

The next morning, we all woke up and I had to go back home to get my cosmetics and wig etc. SIAN!!! Really wet blanket lor. I was already planning to sleep at Ang's home till the rest of the party come in. In the end I had to drag myself to COI early in the morning.

Ang said that it is actually kinda fun to have a sleepover. She said it is like going back to childhood when we always go to friend's home to sleepover and have pillow fights. Haha, me and YH did had a little fight at night though. We were fighting for Ang's pillow. Ang donated her pillow to us and both and YH want to use it. In the end, we shared it... LOL

After finished the photo shooting (to see the photos we took, please go my opera blog), me and May very nice lor. We went to like FOUR supermarkets to find clams aka Si Haam. Our teacher Ang likes it a lot and we were hoping to buy some for her. Unfortunately ALL THE HAAMS ARE SOLD OUT!

Can you imagine that? I dunno that day is clam day or what lor. Why everyone buy clam??? And can buy until sold out in 4 supermarkets some more! Desperate, we took cab to ShengSiong, then took bus to Compass Point and in the end, we found only 1 pack of clams. That pack of clams was reserved for teacher.

Now you know, National day is HAAM day. If you want to eat HAAM that day, please be early else you can forget about it.

For us, it was cocktail day. LZ very kindly found some cocktail recipe and even borrowed a shaker! She is our bartender for the day and made us some really nice cocktails. I dunno what cocktail it is. It has kiwi, orange, Vodka etc...

Teacher Ang took a sip and found it too strong. She said that she is going to fall asleeeeeep after drinking it. Teacher Ang is supposed to have a good tolerance for alcohol lor but she told us that she is going to sleeeep after that cocktail. So surprising.

So thanks to LZ, that day we had some nice cocktails.~ our make shift bartender.

She wore red, though she is not singaporean, she celebrated NDay with us.

That night, there was fireworks at SengKang. ALL of us cramped at Ang's tiny kitchen window to see it. Only her kitchen window can see the fireworks. It was a funny sight and it was very funny to hear them shouting 'oooooh' and 'waaaaaa'.... at the fireworks.

Library

I think many people don't really know me well though they might have known me for a long long time.

Last week, I was at the library when Ang, teacher Ang, called me. I whispered to her and she asked me why am I whispering. I told her that I am in the library. Her reaction was,"When did you become so knowledgable, got go library one."

Another time, I was a Bishan library when Susan called me. I told her I am at the library and she was also surprised,"wah, you got go library one ah..."

It seems like many people were surprised by things I do. For your information, I got a big variety of hobbies so don't be so surprised lor. When KL first heard me going to the library, he asked me what I am going to the library for. To read lah. duh.

I got a fetish for books actually. I love seeing books being stacked together or put together in neat rows. They made me really happy. I used to love spending a lot of time in the library or Popular book store when I was still a student. The smell of fresh books made me happy too. LOL. Ok I admit that this is a little weird.....

When I was little, my mum bring me to TPY, she will leave me in the popular bookstore while she go buy her things. I can spend the whole day there, flipping through the books. My mum really hated to bring me to library or bookstores because I spent too much time there. She used to call me a bookworm or 'shu dai zi'. LOL. I am less of a bookworm nowadays. Firstly cuz there isn't a lot of books that interest me now and secondly I am very busy lor. I still read but I just don't find the novels as interesting as the old ones. Hopefully I will find some hidden treasure in the library by reading randomly.

Chocolates

As I blogged recently about chocolate, my bag, I would like to tell you all that YH has also bought the same bag! LOL, she bought it in white so as to be different from me. White is really a nice colour but then it gets dirty easily so I bought brown.

Seeing YH carry that bag to rehearsal one day, I was very excited so I took a picture of our bags.

I told YH my bag's name is Chocolate. She said that then her bag should be white chocolate lor. And my on should be milk chocolate. LOL, so now her bag's name is white chocolate and mine is milk chocolate.

Muackz.. YH say that my milk chocolate is always molesting her white chocolate. LOL, soon they will have kids like small little mixed white and milk chocolate. Haha.. May Teng cannot stand us.

My new Bag!

I bought a new bag on Satrday! It's a cute bag tat I have spotted last month in JB but I didn't buy it cuz I thought it was kind of expensive. I was tempted though. This time, I saw it at Bugis at cheaper price so I got it! LOL I love it so much but it's abit too big for me. I don't like carrying big bags cuz I hate it when people ask me if they can put their things in my bag. It will make my bag super heavy and my shoulders pain. I hate to carry heavy bags cuz it reminded me of my secondary school days. My bag weighed a ton at that time.

Anyway back to the bag. I think it's extremely cute. May think it's extremely ugly. She got weird taste lor. YH think it's cute too and she even asked me to help her buy one. Today, I went to the same shop to get her the same bag but in white instead.

I asked my mum what name I should give it. MY mum suggested 'chocolate'. So yah, now my bag's name is chocolate. Cute name for a cute bag!! And another thing, May doesn't know who is Domokun lor.


This is Domokun. He is a piece of burnt bread. Yes it has got mouth and teeth and it is also cute.


And of course, altho domokun is cute, I think my SCRUMP is cuter!!!! FOREVER SCRUMP!

We love Gatherings

We were having alot of gatherings recently with our teacher Ang. Including this coming sunday, I think we already had gatherings for 3 consecutive weeks. Amazing right? Well, I guess Ang is too tired and stressed so she love to have us over to party nowadays. Disturb her, flip her refrigerator upside down etc. She doesn't mind us messing up her place but we also got help her clean up before we leave lor. I have the pictures of our first gathering. It was on that day when our show was cancelled for the rain. Lame. Anyway we weren't exactly sad that the show was cancelled. AS you can see we had a great time too. QY even went to buy crabs and prawns to celebrate.

We were lucky to have May and QY and my mum who were excellent cooks to prepare the food for us.

And we were lucky that May and QY dare to kill the crabs and prawns because I wouldn't dare to and neither is my mum. It's kind of scary.

And at every gathering, we must have drinking session. Frankly speaking I really hate to drink. The taste of wine is so damn awful lor. I don't understand why people like to drink it and even say that it taste good. It's so sour and smelly...

MD is singing very engrossedly. Ang has this mic stand at her home to my surprise! LOL.

Wine wine wine and more wine.... Everyone drinking. YH and MD's face always turn red after drinking. YH's ears also turn red lor. Ang said that MD's face will turn green after the red. LOL ad then DLQ face will turn from red to purple then to white.

Bala will join us in the gathering if he is in a good mood. On our second gathering, he did not turn up. We did invite him but I think he is too busy lah. This coming holiday on 9 Aug, we are going to celebrate at teacher's house again. This time it will be desserts theme. But then teacher said that if it's dessert theme then we cannot drink. She seemed kinda disappointed that there will be no drinking session. LOL

So I told her, we can go to her house and have the drinking session on Sunday night. Then those crazies can stay at home for the night. (We have been talking about sleeping with teacher during the second gathering LOL, it was a joke, please don't get any wrong ideas) So yah, some people will bring sleeping bags to sleep in her living room lor. I think we are really crazy. We got a show coming on 29 Aug and we are celebrating on every possible day! Then after the 29 Aug we got another excuse to celebrate. It will be a bigger celebration cuz the peformance has ended, teacher is stress free.

A short trip to JB

Whenever time permits and that KL is free, we will go to Johor for a short trip. Basically, we do the routine stuff like going Giant to buy neccessties (I have no idea how to spell this and I lazy to check), going to Holiday Plaza to buy some barang and washing car etc. YH love going to JB. She always ask me when I am going and when I am planning to go etc. I have to keep telling her that I have no plans on going yet.

YH also has got a routine list of things she must do when she go to JB. Hers will be to buy seasoned mangoes, to buy drama series and to eat crayfish. Crayfish is a must for her.

At the beginning of July, we went to JB upon YH's request. First we went to the Holiday Plaza to get seasoned mangoes and DVDs etc. Once there, we divided up into 3 groups. Me and KL will shop for our usual things like games, computer stuff etc. YH and Michael went to get seasoned mangoes and tidbits and a foreign friend of mine wandered off herself. For the record, YH was wearing a skirt that day. I asked her why did she wear a skirt and she said that I am mad because she often wear skirts.... -_-"

After shopping, we went for crayfish. I think it's still expensive though its cheaper than in Singapore. YH very exaggerating. She ate crayfish there and then she packed alot of crayfish home too. By the time she got home, the crayfish won't be crispy and hot already lor.

Me and a friend and we ordered so much food!

This is Michael, yh's boyfriend. I think I haven't blogged about him before. He is a nice guy and he always turns up when we got performances very supportive towards YH learning opera.

Fortunately, when we got out of JB, there wasn't a traffic jam. It was super crowded everywhere in JB on a Saturday and we had a jam when we were going in. The jam lasted like 2 hours. So we were glad that we managed to get back to singapore without a jam . :)

Skin Centre Again

I have a friend who told me that I must blog because reading my blog is part of her breakfast routine. It's like if she didn't read any new post, her breakfast will be incomplete. I have so many things to blog about, so many pictures to share but sometimes, I am just not in the mood to type anything.

Tomorrow, I am going to visit the Skin Centre again. It's been a long long time since I visited it. This time I am going there for a different purpose. Remember I showed you guys my big swollen hand? Finally, tomorrow is my appointment at skin centre to test out what is my problem really. Good, I can finally have a list of things that I am allergic to. In future I don't have to test and trial and I know what to avoid.

However, my appointment tomorrow is like damn early can. It's at 8.50am! My god, it has been a long long time since I woke up so early. I wanted to change the appointment time at first but I think it's good to be early also because it means that I am the first patient. I don't have to wait too long for my turn. For the record, I have waited for like 2 hours before at skin centre. It's ridiculous! And they even offer a $10 rebate if you waited mored than 70 minutes. Which I always happen to wait for a longer time than that.

So if tomorrow I am the first one, I don't have to wait.

I realised that I get bored very easily. I must prepare some things to bring along whenever I go out. Like when I am waiting for bus, when I am queuing up, when stupid KL disappeared somewhere to make phone calls, I will have something to entertain myself. It has become very important to me. I just can't sit around and start imagining things like I used to do because that will drive me mad. I will maybe start shouting or hitting the walls with my fists, lol.

There is a lot of waiting to be done tomorrow if I am unlucky so I must be well prepared. Loaded movies into my PSP and in case my battery flat, I brought a book along too. Call me if you want to meet me for lunch tomorrow.

跨时代！

Yay, I just bought Jay Chou's lastest album!

I seldom buy an album without first listening to the songs online if they are worth buying or not. The only exceptions are my idol Ekin and Jay Chou. Ekin, I just find all his songs nice! hahaha.. ok lah. I admit I am obsessed with him. Jay's albums are nice so far so I trust that he will not release a lousy album so I just bought it.

Listening to it right now, as usual, there will be a few rap songs, one chinese style song, one 'sweet romantic' song and some heartbroken sort of songs. I find that he usually makes a combo like this. If the songs are nice enough, I will learn them to sing in ktv. hahaha....

this is one of the songs I like... Very nice.
