Taiwan - Gao Xiong

On the way to Gao Xiong, YX asked us if we want to eat Zhu Tong fan aka Bamboo rice. I said ok, I tot that the bamboo rice will be like in SG, a bowl made of bamboo with rice in it but I was wrong. The authentic Bamboo rice is the long hollow piece of bamboo with glutinous rice cooked in it. These bamboos were disposable, meaning they will not collect the bamboo back and re-use.

竹筒飯。這才是真正的竹筒飯不像新加坡的竹筒飯都只是用個竹子做的碗來煮飯。而且這個竹筒都只能用一次就丟掉了所以每一支竹筒飯都有香香的竹味。

Zhu Shan's famous Han zi! At Zhu shan must eat han zi cuz they are famous. So we bought these han zi bao, as circled above and bought some han zi chips. My father loves the han zi chips.

我們來到竹山當然要吃竹山有名的番薯咯。有沒有聼過那首歌：竹山的番薯尚蓋讚~



We arrived at a rest station so I told Ah boy to split open the bamboo rice to let me take photos. That's how you do it. You split open the bamboo with a loud snap and eat the rice with chopsticks. There is a thin layer of bamboo ... (what do you call there..) membrane? on the rice.

在休息站時我叫翔翔打開竹筒飯給我拍照。裏面的飯還有層薄薄的竹膜呢。

Unbelievably, Zhenyin broke 2 pairs of shoes these few days and so we went to the KING OF SHOES to buy. hahaha.. she actually managed to find a pair of shoes exactly like her broken one So she bought that pair.

不可思議的是真吟居然穿坏了兩雙鞋，所以我們到鞋子大王買鞋。

Chi Kan Lou of Tainan. Also a very famous place but we didnt go in becuz we will have to pay entrance fee. So we gave it a miss lor.

有名的赤坎樓。我們並沒有進去因爲入門費太貴了！結果跑去吃棺材．

This thing is called cioffin board and I love it. It's very nice, the bread is very crispy yo.

棺材板很好吃咧可是姑姑說是不吉利的。。哈哈。

We saw this sign and zhenyin said that there is toilet behind and the toilet is called 'ya zuo' in taiwan.. I was thinking.. that's weird. so I asked ah boy and ah boy said that ya zuo means seats.. there are more seats behind.

I see..

真吟看到這幾個字就告訴我後面有廁所，雅座就是廁所。我覺得很奇怪就問詠翔，他說雅座的意思是座位。後面有座位。。原來如此。

We left Tainan and reach GX after some driving. YX was dead and we let him sleep for awhile while we go shopping in a shopping centre opposite our hotel.

In this shopping centre, there were elevators attendant who will press the buttons of the lifts for you. They were dressed prettily and they do cute actions. Really interesting. If you ever go to GX, must visit this shopping centre and take their lifts. Hee hee.... Singapore only got elevators uncle lor.. so XUN!

過了台南我們又坐了很久的車才到高雄。阿翔累死了所以我們讓他睡覺，自己到百貨公司逛一下。這傢百貨公司很可愛，有可愛的電梯小姐哦！她們打扮得漂漂亮亮很有禮貌地問搭客要去幾樓．姑姑很強，竟然跟電梯小姐聊天問她這樣的工作會不會悶．電梯小姐還做了很多很可愛的動作．有機會去看一下．哈哈，新加坡只有電梯安哥咯。

After YX woke up, he got too much energy and we pinched each other.
詠翔睡醒后太多精力居然捏我！

At night we went to liu he night market to eat dinner. On the table is Oyster omelette, totally different from SG one. I prefer this one tho.. healthier and got lots of vege but then I hate the sauce. I hate all sauces in TW.

晚上我們到夜市去吃晚餐，這是六合夜市。

This is a mall in GX with a big ferris wheel on top called Dream Mall. Cute right? There is one in Taipei also.

高雄的夢時代購物中心，頂樓還有摩天輪哦！

Da Pi Li shop in the mall! 購物中心裏有傢大霹靂店哦！

大霹靂的娃娃！很美喲！　而且都穿著大扮的服裝。

This is the Ferris wheel on top of Dream mall. I wanted to have a go at it at first but the weather was too hot. I will become a roasted pig up there. Forget it man.

這就是夢時代上面的摩天輪。本來我是想上去坐坐的可是真的是太熱了，我們會變成燒豬咯。

I said before this ah boy eats everything! He is a pig lor. I first time see someone eat popcorn without going to cinema. I told him that I don't like to eat popcorn, he can have it all to himself. Glutton.

我都說了永翔是豬,你看他狼吞虎咽的.唉,我第一次看見有人沒去看電影也吃爆米花的咯. 阿翔,你是豬啊?
And he very bad! He put the popcorn cup behind the toys in Daiso!!! Haiz.. bad lor him. i scolded him for being so boliao but took a photo anyway.

他很坏咯,居然把爆米花杯子放在店裏玩具的後面!我把他罵了一頓但是還是拍了照片給大家看他的傑作！
Clear Lake aka Cheng Qing Hu. Boy said that the lake inside is beautiful and is worth a visit but too bad, when we came here it was closed! Dammit. So we didn't go in but never mind, I still got lots of chance to visit..

澄清湖，不知道湖水是不是真的很清呢？詠翔說裏面的景色很美，值得一去。可是我們到澄清湖時都已經関了。沒關係，我以後還是有很多機會去的，你說是不是啊。。。　阿翔？

Since I didn't get to see Clear Lake, we decided to go eat instead. I have been kping that I want to eat Shua Shua pot so YX brought me here but it was not the kind that I wanted to eat! Sad.

既然澄清湖関了我們就去吃刷刷鍋。我一直說我要吃刷刷鍋所以詠翔就帶我到這裡可是這並不是我要吃的那種刷刷鍋。傷心。

Shabu shabu.. Althought it was not that kind that I wanted to eat, we still ate happily and enjoyed the food. The pineapple there was super super sweet! So much more sweeter than SG ones. My aunt ate alot of pineapple that when we were leaving, she has to go to the loo.. YX said that she want to la pineapple shit~ so er xin lor yx.

雖然這不是我要的刷刷鍋可是我們還是吃得很開心。那裏的黃梨是無敵甜的！超級甜！我姑姑吃了很多結果要離開時她忍不住要去拉。。。。　翔翔說她去拉黃梨屎！噁心啊臭 ah boy.

After dinner, I went to see YX house. I wanted to see his GaoXiong house for a long time cuz I dunno if he really bought a house there or he haolian to me only. Well, his house is something like a masionette in SG. Not very big but has 2 storeys. The second floor has got 4 bed rooms which is now rented to some ppl. My mum said that the house is not bad and she especially like the washing area where you can hang your clothes to dry too.

Aunty is aunty lor. The first thing my mum want to see was the kitchen.

晚餐后我們去看詠翔的房子．我一直都很想看詠翔的房子因爲我不知道他是不是真的有房子還是他只是＇好練＇而已．哈哈，很坏咯我．他的房子是類似我傢這樣但是而樓有四閒房，我的只有三閒．我老媽喜歡曬衣服的地方，她覺得很方便．安第就是安第．．．老媽子最在意的就是廚房．
