Yesterday, I was having lunch with Nick Shen. You know, the mediacorp artiste, Shen Wei Jun. We were at this coffee shop eating fish soup when this auntie who order drinks for us asked Weijun,"Eah, u recently don't have new drama ah? Very long never see you on TV."
Weijun: No leh, recently don't have.
Then the aunty went off to get our drinks. Later when she came back and collecting money from Weijun, she looked at me for a very very long time. I was very uncomfortable with her stare. Dunno she was looking at my pimple or what leh!
Suddenly she asked," Then you leh, you never act ah?"
She used the word 做戏.
I suddenly cannot react to the fact that she is asking about TV programmes, I almost said,"have, recently alot of shows."
Fortuantely, I stopped myself and replied to her,"No I am not an actress."
HAHAhaa.. damn funny lor... I told Weijun that I should have said, yes, I am acting Da Xi. Want to see or not? Then maybe I will have one more audience liao.....
What a funny incident lor.

Eagle and JackRabbits.
Eagles have got eyes bigger than their brains.
Eagles have vision 3 times cleared than a human being. It can see a hopping rabbit high above the ground. Eagles has very fast flying speed which I forgot what it is already. It's claws with very long talons are built for catching rabbits. For very big eagles, they can even sometimes catch a small deer.
The jack rabbit on the other hand, sounds like it stands very low chance in out running the eagle if the eagle wants to catch it. Today, however, I saw a documentry of this rabbit which is actually very smart.
Rabbits has got neck bones that are shock absorbing, thus stablizing its head and ensure that it maintains a clear vision even when it is hopping at full speed. The speed of a jackrabbit or hare can reach 72km/h! That is like the speed of a car already.
This documentry I saw the hare was hopping very quickly while an eagle was swooping down with its claws stretched out. Suddenly the hare stopped hopping abruptly. The eagle therefore overshot and did not land on the hare. It rolled on the ground a little while the hare quickly hopped away. The eagle, though much stronger than the rabbit, did not manage to catch it.
LOL. I think the scene was funny. The hare was hopping at 72km/h when it just suddenly stopped. It is very smart right? I mean it managed to estimate the correct timing when the eagle is about to reach the ground.

伯牙绝弦为子期
Recently I have been listening to Lee Hom's album. I have also posted some videos of him on my FB~ There quite a few songs that I like in this album and one of them is 伯牙绝弦. The lyrics was very interesting but I have no idea what this song is about so I googled the story of 伯牙 and 子期.
The story goes that 伯牙 was a very talented musician in ancient China and he is a master in playing the 古琴. However, being so famous and talented in his field, he was not able to find a person who can share his passion with him. Often he will play in loneliness.
One day, he was playing on a boat when he noticed that there was a man standing on the river bank, looking at him. He stopped playing. The man on the bank told 伯牙 not to be worried about him standing there as he is just a wood cutter. He was mesmerised by 伯牙's music and hence stood at the river bank to listen to him. The wood cutter even knew which piece and which line 伯牙 was playing.
Excitedly, 伯牙 asked the wood cutter to come to his boat. The wood cutter was 钟子期. 伯牙 and 子期 talked about music through the night and eventually they 结拜 to be brothers. At that time, 伯牙 had official matters to do and had to leave the city where he met 子期. However, he made a pact with 子期 to see him again next year, same time, same place.
One year passed, 伯牙 came back to the river and waited for 子期. However, 子期 did not turn up. Anxiously, he walked around that area to look for him. He asked an old man if about 子期. The old man was shocked and asked him if he is 俞伯牙. Eyes reddened, the old man told 伯牙 that he is 子期's father and 子期 has contracted a illness and died 3 months ago. Before he died, he has requested his father to bury him by the river so that he can listen to 伯牙 again when he comes to find him.
Destraught, 伯牙 went to the tomb of 子期 to play for him one last time. After playing, he cut the strings of his 古琴 and broke the instrument in front of 子期's tomb. 伯牙 felt that he has lost the one and only 知音 he has and he has no reason to continue playing anymore. Therefore the title of my post, 伯牙绝弦为子期. And the word 知音 dervied from this story.
After I read the story, I felt very touched. This story is not really that 高潮迭起 but I pictured the scene of 伯牙playing alone in front of his friend's tomb and imagine the 幽怨的琴声. The whole image just let me feel very sad.

Stitch Hat
My brother works in a petrol station. Everytime a car with Stitch's decorations drives in, he will ask the car owner if he can take a photo of the decoration or ask where the driver bought it from. Apparently, using this method, he has gotten a lot of free Stitch's decorations from the generous car owners.
One day, he 'kop' this pair of Stitch hat from a driver.
The hats were really funny and my mum actually automatically wore it on her head. I didn't ask her to do it. She just did it and she even struck me some poses with the hat. I think she actually likes stitch too but she just deny it to maintain her matured mother image. -_-"
See how happy she is with the hat on her head.
The hat sort of looks like a helmet. My mum told me to use this instead of the real helmet when I am riding a bike. You think the police will let me off wearing this? Or maybe she wants me to die!
Not bad right? Who dares to wear this to Orchard road??? :)

The licky t-shirt
Licky licky yah ah ah~
I bought this licky t-shirt from Guangzhou and I love it so much! I wore it to SL one day and Ponyo told me that I should buy one for her too! LOL, I duno mah, I tot she only wear branded. :P
So apparently she likes my t-shirt so much that I lent it to her so that she can wear to SL when I go there for practice.
Happily, she wore the T-shirt to SL and took some photos together. Some people like Susan commented that we are very 变态 but I think otherwise. Don't you think its very funny to take photo with the licking t-shirt mah?
Ponyo's husband asked her why she must borrow the t-shirt from me. Doesn't she has alot of clothes already? Still must wear other people's clothes. Well, cuz my t-shirt is special! See the zip on the mouth? It can be unzipped to reveal the tongue.
LOL, revealed the tongue and we took this photo with the same expression as the t-shirt!
Oh no! Why is the dog licking my monkey??? Something is not right leh! Hahahah... Poor monkey, the dog bully him. I got the t-shirt back from her already. Will wear it to COI one day... Hahaha then start having fun taking photos again. :)

Superstar Tutors
Hey Guys, remember I went to Hongkong in August? I was staying at Causeway Bay and then I saw that there are many big posters advertising the tution centres there. What we normally see in Singapore's posters are children or children wearing the square hats. Or students giving their testimonials on how fantastic the tution centres are.
However, apparently in Hongkong they decided to go for the super star tutors style. It's so funny lor. They advertised their tutors like they are some superstars or something. I dunno, maybe the good looking teachers can attract more students or say parents to enrol in their tution centres?
Looks like some kind of movie poster for the upcoming movie right? At first sight I still thought it's a movie poster but I saw that I dunno all these 'stars'. Then I read carefully and saw that it's an advertisment for tution centre.
This is like American idol or something.. lol. So damn funny lor. Then again it attracted my attention so it sort of worked.

The world is just awesome
You know? The world is really an awesome place. There is so much to see, so much to explore, we can never finish exploring in our lifetime. There is so much knowledge I want to know, so many things I want to learn (besides opera) that I didn't have all the time in the world to learn.
Look at this video from Discovery Channel. It's an ad for that channel and it is very inspiring to me. Life is so good.
Then there is this video from National Geographic Channel that is named 'Think Again'. I think the ad is awesome too! It really sets u thinking on some stuff and wonder about the wonders of our world.
